Enquire about this pieceThe standing Buddha in a toga-like robe falling in deep, rhythmic folds is the signature image of Gandhāra, where Greek, Roman and Indian traditions of sculpture met. This small plaque follows the type faithfully: the weight on one leg, one hand at the hem, the folds curving across the body.
There is a small hole through the sheet at the head. At 2.7 grams it is the least expensive piece in the collection, and with a jump ring added it makes a good pendant.
