Enquire about this pieceThe design is a sign rather than a picture: a rounded form filled with nine raised dots and set on a base with upturned ends, with a small flame and a double cross in the field beside it. Emblems of this kind, part architecture and part symbol, belong to the seals and ornaments of early India and Central Asia.
It is the lightest piece in the collection and among the highest in gold content, at 78.7 per cent by XRF. On a fine chain it sits flat and catches the light across the bosses.
